William Ramos, Ph.D.- is an Assistant Professor and Associate Chair of Curriculum for the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Studies in the School of Public Health where he also serves as the Director of the Aquatic Institute. His research interests are focused on how the aquatic environment adds to the picture of public health and quality of life, with specific factors including physical activity, drowning prevention, recreational water illnesses, and access issues examined.
